2007 Dauvray Cup Finals Game 1

Regina Cyclones At North Shore Lobsters (03/01/2008)

C.C. Sabathia came through with a solid 9 innings as the Regina Cyclones
topped the North Shore Lobsters by a score of 3 to 1 at Camden Yards.

Regina had the game winning rally in the top of the 8th inning scoring 2 runs
on 2 hits.  Khalil Greene got things going when he stroked a one-base hit.
Shane Victorino followed and he was hit by a pitch.  Chase Utley then
grounded into a double play.  Lance Berkman came up and he drew a walk.
Frank Thomas came to the plate and reached on an error scoring a run.  Scott
Rolen kept things alive and banged out a single to load the bases.  Matt Diaz
came next and he drew a walk scoring the final run of the inning.  Regina
banged out 9 on the night.

Sabathia(3-0) finished the game allowing 1 run in the victory. Chien-Ming
Wang(1-2) was charged with the loss.  He allowed 8 hits and 2 walks in 7 and
2/3 innings.

Mickey Boone was very impressed with his pitcher, Sabathia, 'He had unusually
good pitch placement tonight.  It was almost unfair - but a beautiful game to
watch from where I sat'
