Ryan Braun connected with a 'big fly' and had 2 RBI at Coors Field where the
New York Eggmen beat the Riverton Wolverines in 10 innings by the score of 5
to 4.
The score was tied at 3 after nine. New York won it in the 10th inning.
After an out was recorded, Mark Grudzielanek got things going when he
doubled. Jason Larue next to the plate and he slapped a one-base hit. Larue
took second on the throw. One out later, Willie Bloomquist came up and he
banged out a single. Garrett Mock then let one slip out of his hand for a
wild pitch. Elijah Dukes got his chance to keep things going, but he went
down on strikes. New York had 13 hits overall, while Riverton had 8.
The win was credited to Carlos Marmol(1-0) who went 1 and 2/3 innings allowing
1 run. Billy Wagner recorded the save, his 6th. The loss was charged to Rudy
Seanez(0-1) in relief.
