J.J. Hardy had 4 hits and 3 RBI as the South Elgin River Bandits smashed the
overmatched Riverton Wolverines, 14 to 1.
 
South Elgin wasted no time and took the lead in the first inning when they
tallied 4 runs on 3 hits.  The early run support proved sufficient for Jeff
Francis(5-5) and South Elgin.  That was all the run support Francis required.
South Elgin finished with 16 hits while Riverton ended up with 5.  
 
Andy Sonnanstine(4-9) suffered the loss.  He was unable to control the South
Elgin offense and allowed 7 hits and 3 walks in 2 and 2/3 innings.
