Right fielder Randy Winn blasted a homerun and had 3 RBI at Coors Field as the
New York Eggmen beat the reeling Riverton Wolverines 8 to 7.
Zack Greinke(8-6) had a steady outing. He surrendered 5 hits and 4 walks in 6
innings. Greinke racked up 7 strikeouts. Riverton had a chance in the 9th
but they came up short.
Greinke got help from Billy Wagner who earned his 21st save. The losing
pitcher was Andy Sonnanstine(5-12). This win by New York continues their
recent hot streak. In their last ten games, they have a record of 8-2. For
the season, they are 62-40. Not able to get much going in recent weeks,
